Unshape the Shape is an ongoing paper cutout series in which Baptiste Desjardin immerses himself in big Asian cities that he once visited. It is a dialogue, a desire to represent speed, statics, aesthetics... In other words, it's the desire to represent what constitutes essence and body.
It is also a desire to draw the figurative towards the abstract to project oneself into what we can feel and experience. It's an emotion that is shaped and unshaped, a sculpture made of fullness and emptiness.
